Wizarding World of Harry Potter

I never thought that my biggest dream would come true but it did: I had the chance to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida last Sunday and believe me, I really was the happiest girl on earth.

The pictures kinda suck, because it was raining and the weather was just horrible but it could've been worse. The park wasn't as packed as it usually is, so the bad weather was a little benefit.

If you ever get the chance to go, you should arrive at the Island of Adventures (The Wizarding World is part of a huge Universal theme park) in front of the gates half an hour before the park opens because there is going to be a huge line at the entrance! As soon as you're in, go straight to the Wizarding World without stopping for pictures anywhere. You're gonna have time for that afterwards and it's quite a long walk. As soon as you made it to Hogsmeade, go straight to the castle. There is a ride in there and if you're not going there as soon as possible you might have to wait up to four hours. We had luck and we managed to ride it twice in 20 minutes and it truly was the best ride I've ever been on. It's kinda hard to explain what it is exactly, though. It's not a rollercoster it's more a simulator but well, it's just amazing.

After that you'll have time to go to Hogsmeade, drink Butterbeer and shop in several stores. Butterbeer tastes simply amazing but I really can't explain what it tastes like. It's very sweet but so good, it just tastes like Harry Potter. You definitely need to take some cash with you besides your credit card. My credit card worked in all the stores except in the Three Broomsticks and at the places where you could buy Butterbeer. They said that might be the case because they have different machines than in all the other stores there and I have a European credit card, so make sure you carry some cash with you, because you really don't want to miss the taste of some delicious Butterbeer!

After I completely blew my credit card we ate some Shepperd Pie at the Three Broomsticks and it was actually really good compared to all the crap you can get at Disney World. You can see all the stuff I bought in my last post. Honeydukes' Sherbet Lemons are the best candies ever btw. So good. The Gryffindor robe I bought has a little inside pocket for the wand and it was so cool to walk through Hogsmeade all dressed up as a Hogwarts student.

After we ate we got on the rollercoster which is supposed to be a dragon and after that we made our way in all the other areas like Jurassic Park. You definitely can't miss the Hulk rollercoster.

When we we're done with all the attractions, we went to the Universal Studios which is a theme park right next to the Island of Adventures. It closed at 6pm, so we went back to the Island of Adventures for another hour and drank another butterbeer.

Last Sunday was just magical and if you have the chance to go you should definitely do it. :) Save some money before you go. I spent about 240$ and I just bought a few things. Everything is really expensive there but it is definitely worth it.
